FAQs...

Helping clients who are stuck find their awesome. Here are a few questions along the way:

What types of issues can you help with?

We help clients with all kinds of transitions, stuck in a relationship,

a job, or just a rut.

Are phone/online Sessions effective?
We have experience with phone/online clients over 10 years and

find that the sessions are equally effective and can be more affordable for clients. We also offer in person sessions and zoom if you prefer.

What is life or relationship coaching?

Coaching is the use of various techniques to help someone sort out their challenges however,

coaching is not advice. Coaching is different from counseling in that it is looking forward
not in the rear view mirror of life. We are not psychologists, counselors or social workers. We are very different from couples counseling. Clients come to us because either therapy didn't work or they want something different or alternative.

What types of things can I sort out with a coach?

If you are wanting change and are ready to take steps to achieve it but are having trouble getting started or staying motivated then you are ready for a coach. You can use a coach or hypnotist in every area of your life from relationships, work or career, hobbies or sports. Coaches can help to overcome unhealthy habits and motivating the client to change.

How do I select someone to work with?

The most important factor is trust and rapport. You need to feel like you can share anything with your coach or hypnotist and that they are listening to you without any judgement. Certified coaches and hypnotists have invested the time and money to learn professional techniques which prove worthy of your time in getting to your goal. Just make sure the person you choose has experience. We have clocked over 6,000 client sessions over the past 10 years.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on where you are, where you want to go, and how quickly you want to get there. Some clients are able to achieve their goals in a few sessions. You are the one in charge of your sessions so you decide how far you want to go and at what pace. As long as you are feeling progress you can continue as long as you would like. You should be feeling more resourceful and that you’re learning to more effectively deal with new situations as they arise.

How does coaching work?

Coaching is a process and depending on the client and what they are seeking, the process can look differently for everyone. Good coaches learn to use verbal and non-verbal clues to pick up on what their clients need and then use the appropriate techniques to help the client achieve answers. Through relevant and challenging questioning, YOU will uncover the solutions and the resources within yourself.

How does hypnosis work, will I be knocked out or asleep?

Hypnosis is a natural brain wave state, however most people are not aware of it. You will be aware and remember the session. You can talk in hypnosis. The hypnotist is the guide and the client makes the changes. It is important to work with an experienced hypnotist who knows how to handle individual issues.

How much does it cost and how can I pay?

We offer an initial 30 minute consultation over the phone to get a better understanding of your goals and challenges and to determine the number of sessions the client should consider.  We love helping our clients achieve their goals as quickly as possible. We offer packages to save money for those who are committed to investing in the process and we accept all major credit cards and payment plans through AfterPay and PayPal.

How often do we meet?

The frequency is dependent on the goal that the client wants to achieve and how fast they want to reach their goal. You set up the sessions based on your preference. Most clients come in once a week or once every two weeks, with most issues resolving in a few sessions.

What experience do you have?

We are Certified Professional Hypnotists and Life Coaches. The Center has served clients for over 16 years. Individually we each specialize in various issues and our years of experience provide a broad foundation of "real world" expertise. We have the highest level of training and continue to learn through ongoing training on the latest advances in the subconscious.

How will I know if I am hypnotized?

Everyone experiences hypnosis differently so we explain and answer any questions before we begin so you have the appropriate expectation. The zombie-like state portrayed by Hollywood is not accurate. Hypnosis doesn't "feel"... it is a learning state of mind.

What is the difference between meditation and hypnosis?

Many people find it difficult to quiet the mind in meditation. In hypnosis your concentration and focus are heightened to allow you to bring about positive change. In Hypnosis is it ok to have thoughts, in fact you can find out how those thoughts are actually helping you whereas meditation is about a single focus.

What about hypnosis myths and misconceptions?

One misconception in stage or street hypnosis is that the hypnotist controls the person’s mind and actions. In reality, the volunteer enters hypnosis and chooses whether to go along with the entertainer. Another misconception is that you surrender your free will. Hilgard’s (1977) work at Stanford indicates that the hypnotized subject monitors and protects themselves from violating their ethical and moral standards. Hypnosis is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention, similar to meditation. You do not lose your personality or free will, nor do you become a "zombie"

What should I expect in my hypnosis session?

Prior to the first session, you will complete and send to us in advance your Confidential Agreement & Form. The first session will last approximately 90 minutes. Follow up sessions typically last 60-90 minutes.  We will review your forms to learn more about you and discover any obstacles that keep you from achieving your goals and living the life you desire. I will explain the session format and answer questions you may have. You will be gently guided into a relaxing focused state, in which you will be more able to accept into your mind, as you wish, those ideas and beliefs which will lead you to a healthier way of looking at things in life, overcoming and resolving your challenges. While in the session, you can come out of it anytime you wish to resume regular consciousness, but most people find that they enjoy it and want to stay in this stress-free, peaceful state. You will consciously hear what your hypnotist is saying and can accept or reject any of the positive suggestions made to you. With the empathetic guidance of your hypnotist you make the changes you desire. After your session, for additional support and guidance, your hypnotist will email to you positive affirmations, supportive self hypnosis audios and a recap or homework.

What else should I be asking?

The most important factor is to confirm the person you are working with is professionally trained and certified. If you don't see multiple certificates and organizations that they are associated with, then it is likely they don't have much training. Check to see how long they have been in business, verify they have worked with an issue similar to yours and what the success rate is. Word of mouth is always a great way to get information about who to trust. Do they have a professional office? Do they have good reviews? Do they offer a free consultation?

Will my FSA or HSA account cover hypnosis?

Check with your provider. Hypnosis for smoking cessation and some other specific conditions might be eligible for reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from the appropriate doctor/medical professional.
